This is for you if:
- It takes an hour or more for your child to fall asleep at night
- Your child is waking up multiple times a night or waking up before 6am
- You’ve tried other approaches that didn’t work
- You’re exhausted and don’t know what to do anymore
- You’re looking for practical strategies that fit into your busy life
- Your child is 1 year or older and you live in Ontario
Support tailored to you
Families often come to me when they’re at their breaking point. Bedtime takes hours, everyone’s exhausted, and nothing they’ve tried has made a lasting difference.
You ready for a path towards better sleep but you don’t want to be pressured into doing something you’re not comfortable with.
I’ve been there and I totally understand. I know you’re coming to me for help at a really difficult time – it’s my job to make sure I work with you to find an approach that you feel good about.
I’m passionate about applying behavioural science to sleep challenges, but what families can walk away with is what matters most: a child who falls asleep independently, parents who have their evenings back, and the confidence to handle whatever comes next.

About Tatjana
Tatjana Popovic is a Registered Behaviour Analyst (Ontario) and Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) who focuses on pediatric sleep consulting. She helps Ontario families with toddlers and children ages 1 year and older understand why their child isn’t sleeping to build a lasting solution grounded in applied behaviour analysis (ABA).
Unlike generic sleep coaching programs, Tatjana brings a full clinical lens to every case: a comprehensive behavioural assessment, an individualized sleep plan, and ongoing support as you implement it.
Your child isn’t a bad sleeper. They just haven’t learned the skills yet.
Our Process
We’ll talk through what’s happening and see if working together makes sense. No pressure—just a conversation to determine if my services are a good fit for your needs.
Before we begin, you’ll review and sign a service agreement that outlines the services, your rights, confidentiality, and fees. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and make an informed decision about proceeding.
I’ll gather detailed information about your child’s behavior, your routines, and what you’ve already tried. This helps me understand what’s maintaining the sleep problem or challenging behavior.
You’ll receive a clear, personalized plan based on behavioral analysis: what’s actually disrupting sleep or behavior, not guesswork. I’ll explain the rationale behind each recommendation.
I’ll provide ongoing support as you implement the plan, help you troubleshoot challenges, and make adjustments as needed. Support parameters (response times, availability) are outlined in your service agreement.
Frequently Asked Questions
The main difference is my training and approach. As a Registered Behaviour Analyst regulated by CPBAO, I use applied behaviour analysis to identify what’s causing your child’s sleep problem through a comprehensive functional assessment.
Rather than applying a set program, I analyze your child’s unique patterns and design individualized interventions based on behavioural science. And I don’t just hand you a plan, I teach you why each strategy works so you understand the principles and can problem-solve independently.
This means you’re learning skills, not just following steps. When sleep regresses (and it will—teething, travel, new siblings), you’ll know exactly how to get back on track.
Every family is different so we cannot provide a guaranteed timeline. Some parents see improvement in 3-7 days with consistent implementation. Others may take 2-4 weeks, or longer, especially if we’re working on multiple behavioural challenges or building new skills. The timeline will depend on the complexity of the issue, consistency of implementation, and individual child factors.
I avoid using unmodified extinction (aka cry-it-out). My approach is based on behavioural science, which includes many strategies beyond cry-it-out. We’ll discuss your comfort level with different approaches during the assessment, and I’ll design a plan that aligns with your family values while still being effective. Some level of protest can happen when children are learning new skills, but the goal is always to minimize distress while building independence.
Yes! All sessions are conducted virtually via secure video, which means I can work with families anywhere in Ontario. Whether you’re in Toronto, Kingston, Ottawa, Hamilton, London, or a smaller community, you don’t need to be local to access clinical behavioural sleep support.
